We are two Physical Therapists, that are doing our best to keep our sanity and enjoy each day in this crazy life. We strive (most days) to live healthy, see our personal glasses as half full (somedays we have to round up for this one), and hope to share that perspective with you all. Who knows, maybe we can have some fun exploring the challenges to healthy living and finding creative solutions? Listen in as Dr. Bobbie and Dr. Jess talk with epidemiologist, Danielle Legeai, and her story dealing with stress. Danielle has a PhD and completed her dissertation looking at stress pathways in the pediatric population, with a focus on social and environmental stressors. She herself has experienced primary adrenal insufficiency, also known as Addison’s disease, which directly affects her body’s ability to handle stress. Addison’s disease impacts the endocrine system and the internal stress pathway. Along with medication, Danielle talks about her journey to better understand her body, control her stress, and natural ways she has found to lower her stress levels.
